The sport of wakeboarding has been around for a while. It has a rich history that has evolved over time. Wakeboarding was originally called skurfing, and the board had adjustable rubber foot-straps, a concave tunnel bottom and a keel fin. Eventually, two smaller side fins were added for greater hold and more maneuverability.
Wakeboards are buoyant and coated with fiberglass. Bindings and fins are attached with metal screws. The configuration and positioning of the fins and bindings vary according to rider preference and the type of tricks that will be performed. Shallow fins create less drag and are designed for surface tricks, like flat spins.
The boards we carry are of the highest caliber. Ronix has revolutionized the wakeboarding game with three different rocker shapes: 3-stage, an exaggerated rocker line with a later arc for a straight up explosive ride; continuous, an earlier arc with a smoother, more consistent glide up the wake; and their recent addition, camber, a shape that allows you to ride in the most ergonomically correct position that allows the rider to ride in a more centered position. Whatever kind of ride you are looking for, Wakeboss™ has a board for you.
